If you are feeling broody and yearning to become pregnant this article could be just the tonic you need. It will stand you in good stead if you are absolutely certain that this is the right time for you to become a mother, and there are a number of things to consider.

First of all, is right now going to be the best time for motherhood? If you are young there is no hiding place from the fact that financially it can be tough. Raising a child rarely comes cheap and the younger you are the less likely you are to have the kind of financial foundation and well progressed career that can make so much of a difference. Taking care of a child on a tight budget can be very tough and it is one of the reasons that more and more women are waiting until after they turn 30 before starting a family.

Second, are you prepared for the change in your lifestyle that a baby brings? The freedom to focus on your social life, your work and your wardrobe will likely be reduced, a lot.

There is also the question of fertility to think about. It is the reason why trying to weigh up the best time to have a baby can seem such a complicated one to answer. Obviously the ideal time is when you are involved in the kind of loving relationship that will be a good foundation for family life, when you no longer yearn to be out partying, having a flat stomach and tight arms are not your top priority and your career is established enough that you know you will be able to provide your baby with everything it is going to require. However, that is a rather long list! The majority of women will not manage this kind of equilibrium until their thirties, probably older, yet the days of your greatest fertility are those before you reach the age of 26!

It can be hard to take knowing that the ideal time to conceive a baby socially, emotionally and from a financial perspective is usually at odds with the ideal time physically. You are going to have to make the decision, but fear not, whatever you choose there is plenty of evidence that you can make it work.

If you decide that you want to become a mother in your twenties before you have all the plates of career and finances in the so called "perfect" place take heart from the fact that you are not the first, and you surely won't be the last. There are plenty of people who will tell you that the truth is there is never a "right" time. Of course, your social life is probably going to take a hit, but motherhood is more than likely going to change your priorities anyway. With regards to your career, the career ladder will be there for you after you have had a child. Again, there are plenty of examples that it can be done.

On the other hand if you feel ready to have a baby, yet are anxious that you might have missed out on your most fertile years, again you need not worry. Lots of women nowadays are conceiving for the first time up to age 45, some older. A great deal of these are natural, others happily experince the truth; nowadays the question of how to increase fertility is not so hard to solve. After all, there are plenty of effective fertility boosting treatments. Once again, there is plenty of proof that you will be able to get pregnant. With the right information and the right application, you'll do just fine.
